Watkins Glen

Went to Watkins Glen to see the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge race.  It was supposed to be a 2.5 hour race but half of that time was with the safety car for silly reasons.  Had dinner at the Seneca Lodge, that was good.  They have the race winner wreaths from a bunch of the Formula One races from way back plus Justin Wilson's.  His is still green the others are gray.

Grand-Am qualifying:

First baby duck in the pool.

This guy got the pole, the announcer was ecstatic.

The new bodywork on the Daytona Prototypes make them look much better in person.

 For Mother.

Cyndy was a grid girl.

Good job,  probably the second most important part of the race.  The win shot is obviously the most important part.  She checked, Dalla Lana, not Auberlen.

Mazdar

Braking for the bus-stop.

Aston Martin

 Stupidru
View from the relatively new grandstand looking at the last turn.   Very tall, you can see the esses, and backstretch from there, but they are quite far away.

Both Aston Martins at the end of the race, the first died exiting the boot with two laps to go and the second on the last lap entering the boot.
