Yay Road Atlanta. It was wet and the mud was red. We got to the track around 7:45 and the paddock was very busy with teams getting ready. The Van der Steur trailer was gone, apparently IMSA fined him $500 for a mix up with his daughter's hard card. So he took his toys and left.

14 or so teams will be testing/observing the Lemans Prototype Challenge test at the track tomorrow, this is the car.

Made it out in time for morning warm up (which was delayed for about an hour due to incredible rain here when we woke up.) Saw many sad and wet tents when we arrived. The Jetta TDI Cup cars were first out on track and they had an amazingly clean race.

Cyndy caught the Peugeot team during morning warm up.

For a good hour all three corvettes were in a row and producing a tremendous noise.

Watched the start of the race from the stands on the front stretch.

Moved down the esses for the remainder of the race.

It was really up hill both ways.

The grass was super slippery from the morning rain and was not forgiving to the drivers.

And then it rained causing rivers of water to flow across the track.

And it rained.

So we got brave enough to enter the Patron Tequila tent, about half a dozen people took the "Patron Club" title a little too literally making it a bit weird. But they had a scoring monitor and a tv screen showing the streams of water on the track.

We moved the car to the bottom of the esses and waited until they gave up. Nearly 5 hours of really good racing, and the rain today was much better than the heat yesterday.
