After a 100 mile last snowmobile ride last Sunday (Naples, Waterford, Lovell, Freyburg, Denmark, and back to Naples) its starting to seem like spring. This morning we had a traditional Maine Maple Sunday visit to Cabane A Sucre Bergeron, Hebron, Maine. Jonathan approved of hot syrup on snow.

This grouse has been following us around the yard for the last few days.

If Jonathan had a BB gun, you could have Grouse for dinner.

I think a BB would just bounce off the grouse, unless you got it right on the eye. Then you would just have a grouse in your yard with only one eye. Also, keep in mind that a grouse feeds on a whole lot of pine buds in the winter, and I would expect the meat to taste accordingly. Of course, if you marinaded it in maple syrup first...
